Africa Hunt Lodge allows the opportunity to hunt and harvest World Record Class Impala in South Africa. The Limpopo Province of South Africa is the premier destination in the World to hunt the Impala. Year round, we offer hunts for awesome Trophy Impala. There are no seasonal restrictions on hunting the Impala in South Africa, which makes it a suitable trophy year round. 

Our hunters typically hunt the South African Impala in conjunction with a 7-10 day African Safari. One of our Experienced and Licensed Professional Hunters will be your guide during your Impala Hunt. We typically hunt Impala Safari Style, Spot and Stalk, or by Still Hunting if you are a Bow Hunter. We can accommodate all methods of Hunting for Impala including Rifle, Bow, Black Powder, Crossbow or Handgun. We can accommodate hunters of any age and experience level. 

The Impala which we hunt on our South Africa Concession are the biggest in the World. You can expect a 21+ inch Impala on average when hunting with us, with some each year exceeding 25 inches.  We also offer all (5) Color Variants of Impala featuring the Common Impala, Black Impala, White Flanked Impala, Saddleback Impala and the Dapple Impala.

The Impala is a medium-sized antelope native to eastern and southern Africa.

What do Impala look like:

The Impala is a graceful antelope with a two tone coat. They have a reddish-grayish coat with a paler cream underbelly. Males have distinct lyre-shaped horns that can be 18-30 inches long. 

Impala Habitat:

Impalas are very adaptable and can be found in a variety of habitats, including savannas, lights woodlands, and grasslands...literally all of Africa that has vegetation.

Impala Diet:

Impalas are herbivores, primarily grazing on grasses. They feed upon a wide variety of vegetation, including fruits, seedpods, and shoots. They are selective feeders and can adjust their diet based on seasonal variations in vegetation. 

Impala Behavior:

Impalas are social animals that are often found in herds, which can have up to 100 individuals, and can help provide protection against predators. Males become territorial when food is plentiful, but in the dry periods their territories are abandoned as the herds must travel ins search of food. 

Predators of Impala:

Impalas are preyed on by a variety of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, crocodiles and pythons. They are known for their agility and impressive leaps, which make them a difficult target for predators.

Non-hunting guests are welcome to accompany the Hunters.
