Support an Orphanage - House of Hope Foundation
Africa Hunt Lodge supports The House of Hope Foundation in Zimbabwe
Dear friends, supporters, and compassionate hearts around the world,
This Easter Sunday, we’re reaching out today to share a story of extraordinary love and sacrifice—and to invite you to be part of something deeply meaningful.
For the past 2 years, myself and the owners of Kudu Valley Safari Lodge, have assisted with building and expenses of an orphanage near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On a recent April 2025 trip to Zimbabwe, I visited the House of Hope Trust orphanage to review their work, construction and spend time with the children. They have come a long way in the past 2 years, but the facilities and staff still need more contributions to keep this safe haven alive for the children.
The House of Hope Foundation, located in the rural community of Ntabayengwe, just 14 km from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, is not just an orphanage—it is a safe haven, a family, and a source of hope for children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to poverty, illness, or other hardships.
A Founder's Remarkable Sacrifice
The heart behind this mission is Enock Ali, the Founder and Trustee of the House of Hope Trust. In 2018, Enock made an extraordinary decision: he sold his own home in the city of Victoria Falls to purchase land in the rural area, where he could care for more children in need. He moved to Ntabayengwe and began the hard but beautiful work of building a sanctuary for the most vulnerable.
In 2021, House of Hope was legally registered as a nonprofit Trust. Since then, it has grown into a life-giving community run by Enock and four other dedicated trustees—offering shelter, education, nourishment, and love to 15 children under their roof, as well as other children and elderly not housed at the orphanage.
Times are tough now in Zimbabwe... costs of food, education, transportation, and more are at an all-time high. The children need assistance.
